Founders Caroline and Mitra met in NYC and quickly became friends. They bonded over stories about growing up in Northern Europe and working in LA and NYC. They share a passion for beauty and a common hate for shopping.
PSBTY was born from the need to have beautiful skin and makeup without the hassle of running to stores, researching and sampling a sea of products. Life is packed with excitements – work, friends, morning workouts, meetings, family, coffee, social media and the last thing we want to do is spend time shopping for products. We simply want to look good.
Caroline Dahllof is excited to disrupt the way we buy beauty and grooming products. She has a multi-faceted background spanning design, technology, and business. She founded a top selling mobile apps company, worked for Apple on iLife, and designed special effects and software for the movie industry. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School and a MS and BS in computer science from Brown.
Mitra Roknabadi is focused on creating the ultimate digital shopping experience, where convenience means service. She has 8 years of experience working in the beauty industry with prestige brands such as Chanel, Lancôme and BPI, focusing on product placement and customer service. She also worked for Nordstrom Inc. managing cosmetics and merchandising. She started her journey in beauty as a makeup artist for Smashbox Studios at age 17.
PSBTY is based in LA and NYC and is proud to be part of First Growth Venture Network, a startup accelerator program in NYC that loves helping entrepreneurs build successful businesses.
